The BLACK HALO album was collated originally as the second album in the Jimmy Vargas Black Widow double cd set released in 2008. Though it was recorded with a different lineup from the Black Dahlia members it was promoted as such.
The working name of the studio collective who cut BLACK HALO, were the Black Marias'.

Due to resolution of legal issues pertaining to the album, and the reuniting of the Black Marias' studio outfit, as a live force, Black Halo has now been re released in its individual track listing, and independent opus that acts as a prequel to the BLACK MARIAS' NOIRSVILLE album of 2019.
